The remodelling of an large house in South London to provide a large kitchen and dining room with a better connection to the garden.
The project consists of the demolition of an existing single storey rear extension and the erection of a new single storey rear extension within the volume of the existing. A conversion of the existing storage basement into a habitable room is achieved by lowering the floor level.
The internal layout of the house has been amended to improve the relationship between the kitchen and the garden. This will be enabled by lowering the internal floor level of the kitchen to match the rear garden.
