We believe that it is important to participate in a broader cultural debate about architecture, and to that extent we are actively engaged in teaching, writng and lecturing.

Teaching

We have been involved with teaching for the past 15 years and have taught at the Architectural Association, University of Bath, University of Kingston, and since 2008 at London Met where we teach a diploma studio. We have been active as critics at a number of schools across the UK and Ireland, and between 2008 and 2012 Alun Jones was external examiner at the Mackintosh School of Architecture, Glasgow.

The studio is treated as an ongoing research project which looks at the issues surrounding the architecture of the city in the technological age, and principally at how strategies can be evolved to recuperate the city. We have been looking at how changes imposed on the city by technological projects, such as the railways, the Embankment in London, the high level bridge in Porto and the burrying of London's ancient rivers, has disrupted a more concrete city structured by its festivals and rituals.
