Rhee House

Restoring and extending a listed Georgian vicarage in Cambridgeshire.

This project involves the complete restoration of a listed late Georgian vicarage outside Cambridge. The works include the redesign of the outbuildings to create an artist's studio and workshop and local landscaping.

The project involved extensive research utilising the diocesan archive at the University Library at Cambridge, where we uncovered the original drawings and specification. The research provided us with a strategy for the restoration and new build aspects of the work. The project is used by Cambridgeshire Council as an example of how to work intelligently and successfully with Listed Buildings.
